Sure,it'sasimpletrifleinfilmhistory,ifeventhat,andseeingSanguedisbirrotodayisatbestmildlyentertaining.ForalthoughmadeintheheydayoftheItaliancrimegenrethisoneisnozenith.DanCaputo(GeorgeEastmanofdubiousAntropophagus-fame)arrivesinNewYorktoavengethedeathofhisfather,acopinvolvedwiththemafia.Danclearsupthemurder(andkillswhatseemlikesome30people)withhelpoflocalmobbossDuke(JackPaLance)andthenfliesbacktowhereverhecamefrom.Possiblythereisabitmoretothestory,butthescriptissoconfusedsothereislittlepointintryingtodescribethegoings-on.Sufficetosaythereisalittleromance,briefsceneschildhoodreminiscing,andahelluvalotofshootouts.Someofwhicharequiteexitinginacheapoeurotrashway.ThehighlightofthefilmisdefinitelytheopeningsceneattheairportwhenDanarrivesduringsomesortofterroristattacksimplytoshoothiswaythroughit.Allinallit'snotabadlydonerevengefilmtechnically,andit'sclichédinthebestsenseoftheword,butitsuffersfromsomeseriouslydraggingscenes,andapoorlyexecutedwhodunitsubplot,whichslowsthewholethingdown.Onlyrecommendedforthedie-hardfanofItalian70'scrimefilms.
